Traveling to Israel is a unique experience. Visiting a European destination on the way to Israel, either in Eastern or Western Europe, can add a great deal of meaning and richness to the Israel experience. First and foremost among these are the Heritage Seminars programs in Eastern Europe, under the direction of Michael Berl. Heritage Seminars coordinates unique educational experiences that study Jewish cultural and religious roots in Eastern Europe and identify with our heritage. Through extensive visits to the destroyed centers of Jewish culture and scholarship and a course of creative academic study that takes place throughout the seminar, participants in Heritage programs strengthen their Jewish identity, knowledge, and commitment to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
