Youth Trips: Community Youth Programs

ISI organizes what have been acclaimed as the best community-sponsored Israel programs available. Indeed, when the Jewish Agency looked for a model community program to be highlighted in a promotional video they produced, they selected the Colorado CAJE IST, organized by ISI since 1987. This esteem is not only a function of our superb tour itineraries, our amazing staff, our inspiring educational units, and our flawless logistics. More than anything else, it reflects our commitment to educational partnership - to learning the needs and goals of your community and working with you interactively to design a trip that can be the most important once-in-a-lifetime Jewish experience a teen may ever have.

Aside from the trip itself, ISI provides your community with resources and resource people for effective pre-trip preparation and post-trip follow-up, maximizing the contribution of the Israel experience to Jewish identity and commitment.

For community tours, ISI makes special preparations for mifgashim - personal acquaintance programs and home hospitality, designed to deepen the connection between Israeli kids and teens from your community. We incorporate partnering opportunities/projects for "sister cities," stressing doing together - touring, fun, volunteering for those in need, and sharing ideas and feelings about what it means to be Jewish in this day and age.

In our work with communities ISI has been a leader in sensitivity to Jewish pluralism, finding creative ways of enabling Jews of a range of denominations and identities to share Jewish growth experiences, learning from each other and respecting each other's way of Jewish life.

Tours in Israel may be complemented by one of ISI's European options - England and Scotland, Italy, or Heritage Seminars in Eastern Europe.
