Making Your Trip Perfect: Your Safety & Security

At ISI, our greatest concern is the safety and security of our program participants and the peace of mind of their families. All ISI trips meet or exceed safety standards and procedures required by the IDF and Israel Police, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, and the Israel Ministry of Education, including escort by armed (army veteran) escorts and medics as required. All ISI staff members undergo intensive safety and security briefings as part of their training process. We put special emphasis on understanding and implementing special safety precautions for field experiences such as hikes and water activities. Participants are briefed on safety and security essentials at the very beginning of the program.

Release to free weekends is preceded by a careful briefing for participants on the do's and don'ts of travel in Israel. Staff members check by telephone to insure the safe arrival of teens at their destinations.

In consideration of public concern about visits to shopping malls and souvenir centers, ISI has creatively arranged an Israel Market for our groups in secure facilities, bringing the vendors to the groups in a bazaar atmosphere.

ISI coordinates with program sponsors to implement real-time web and phone hot-line update services for participants' families. ISI office and program staff are phone accessible 24 hours a day to program sponsors and participants' families to provide immediate information and assistance on any issue affecting the welfare of any of our program participants.
